Welcome to Rough Atlantic Oyster Country
Welcome to the heart of coastal North Carolina, where three friends turned a dream into an oyster farm worth sharing. Dive into the story behind our venture and try our oysters, each one shaped by the tides and a lot of laughter. Whether you’re here for a taste of the sea or a glimpse into our journey, we’re glad you found us.
Fresh from the Sea: Our Oysters
Our oysters are a reflection of their coastal home—hardy, vibrant, and shaped by the tides. Each shell is a little work of art, rough and rugged on the outside, concealing a smooth interior that speaks of the clean, sunlit waters they come from. They carry the essence of their surroundings, from the soft sway of seagrass to the rhythm of the waves, offering a taste of a place that feels honest and unpretentious.

Who
we are
Three googans — Josh, Mike, and Sean — decided, after a few too many beers on a hot July night, that they wanted to forget the meaning of the phrase “free time” and start a small oyster farm on a sunny stretch of coastal water between Beaufort and Harkers Island, NC.
None of them knew the first thing about oysters, but with a mix of YouTube tutorials, trial-and-error, a community college class, and Josh’s unshakable belief that "if you can’t tie a knot, tie a lot," they made it work.
Their little venture is still finding its footing, but their energy is infectious, and they’ve already caught the attention of a few curious locals. Every day is an adventure, from wrestling with stubborn knots to celebrating their first tiny harvest, and they’re proving that with grit and a good sense of humor, you can grow something great—one oyster at a time.
